Frequently Asked questions

Do I need a License to Carry (LTC) to buy a gun?

No, you need a Texas Driver's License or ID.

What is the process to buy a gun?

The first step is to fill out a 44-73 Form. After you fill out your part we will fill out the rest using your Texas Driver’s License or Texas ID. We will then call in a background check (the time for this process varies). If you are approved we will complete the rest of the form and cash you out. If you are delayed, they will call us back with an approved or denied within two weeks. If you are denied you will be unable to purchase a firearm. If you have an LTC then there will be no need for a background check and we can process you directly in our store.

What is a 44-73?

A 44-73 is a form that allows us to call in a background check. It includes information such as name, address, date of birth and other personal information.

Is the 44-73 Sent to the Government?

 No, we keep them.

If I sell a gun to another person do I need to put it under their name?

No, there is no registration process for a gun.

In Texas can I carry a handgun in my vehicle?
